"The BEST location we could have dreamed of for a Cape Cod beach location. Rather than plan our days around racing to the public beaches to secure a limited parking spot and stake out space on the crowded sand for our blankets, we had a peaceful 3 minute walk from the house to an uncrowded expanse of north Nauset Beach-- one of the best on the Cape! You can literally walk for miles on the beach, heading in either direction to explore surf, sandbars, and the calmer water of a cove. Beautiful lakes were also just a few minutes away (we loved Crystal Lake), and Nauset Heights area was wonderful for morning runs and evening walks. The house was also an easy (3 mile) bike ride into town, where we were able to link up to the Rail Trail bike path, which goes on for miles (more beaches! More ponds!) Orleans was a great little town-- all the amenities we needed (Stop and Shop, CVS) and excellent restaurant options (we loved Abba, Mahoneys, Sundae School, and Chocolate Sparrow). We were lulled to sleep each night by the sound of rolling surf, rose at sunrise to watch amazing sunrises on Nauset Beach, and hung out on the shaded patio and sunny yard overlooking the dunes and ocean. Amazing vacation! Amazing house! I cannot recommend this place enough."

"My family, husband and I rented this incredible property. The yard is incredibly spacious, well kept and has a majestic little trail that leads to the dunes, up and over to the beach, so it was everything we hoped for. I can't put into words how special it was. The home itself is very comfortable, clean, bright and beautiful. There are multiple bathrooms and an awesome outdoor shower, perfect to host a big group. All the bedrooms are spacious, with comfy beds. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. We met a few of the neighbors who were all very nice, friendly! Heather and her mom Mrs. Eleanor were wonderful hosts and communication was prompt and clear. We have all walked away so utterly in love with the house and the land that we hope to return next summer and the next and the next. We highly recommend it!"

"This place is perfect. A great ocean view and a quick walk to Nauset Beach. More than enough space to comfortably accommodate a large family. Close to Crystal Lake, a variety of restaurants, and some of the best ice cream shops on the Cape. Need I say more?"

"We had a fabulous time at this Nauset Beach house! Put it this way: when I was on the way there and told a local where I would be staying, he said wow, you needn't bother going anywhere else on the Cape! The house is so quiet and peaceful and we enjoyed spending a lot of time on the deck. We had a group of friends over one evening for a cocktail party out on the deck. The adults loved the stunning views and the kids had a blast playing in the large yards surrounding the house. The master bedroom is very impressive; sunny light and bright with gorgeous ocean views and sliding doors onto the deck. All the other bedrooms are lovely and have plenty of windows, comfy beds, and lots of closet space. Heather was a great host and she directed us to her favorite local restaurants including Liam's on the beach, Joe's Bar and Grille, Abba, and of course Sundae School for evening ice cream. Also, where to go to get awesome lobster and oysters to bring back to the house. We enjoyed our daily and evening walks to the beach in front of the house and trips to Crystal Lake and Skaket Beach. It's amazing to be able to watch the sun rise over the ocean in front of the house, then go across town in the evening to watch it set over the water too! This house is truly a classic Cape Cod home with loads of character and history. We would love to visit again!"

"This is the very best house out there and we will 100% be returning. It's directly on the beach and has amazing panoramic views of the Atlantic ocean off the enormous deck. There are 2 parts to the home - one upstairs with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, and a whole other portion downstairs with another 2 bedrooms and a bath, as well as a large living area and even a small kitchen. It would be perfect for 2 families renting together. The location is incredible - walking distance to the beach on a sand path. The house is fully stocked with all the beach stuff you'd ever need and there's an outdoor shower. We will definitely be renting here again"

"Our family of five stayed here in July and it was exactly what we were hoping for in our Cape Cod vacation. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the living room was spacious and bright. The upper deck has a gorgeous view of the ocean and sunrise. We even saw whales in the distance one day. A nice outside shower for rinsing off the sand and salt when you get back from the beach. It's location as the last house on a quiet road made it so relaxing and peaceful. If the kids were playing in the yard we didn't have to worry about passing cars, and it made for quiet walks in the evening (fun for the little ones to look for bunnies). To get to the beach was an easy 5-10 minute stroll along a sandy road and then path, so it was easy to go for the morning, come back for lunch and then revisit in the afternoon. We could let the older kids head out on their own while we were still getting ready. Playing in the waves was the highlight of their time on Cape Cod. Gathering beautiful stones was also fun for all. Make sure to bring or wear flip flops in the morning as the sand gets piping hot by noon. To add variety to the swimming, we went several times to a nearby freshwater lake. There's even a beach side restaurant close by that has live outdoor music one evening a week through the summer. Our hosts were wonderfully friendly and welcoming. They gave us many tips and directions of where to go. It was amazing to be at the Cape and not have to deal with crowds at all. So relaxing!!! We can't recommend it highly enough!"

"I came here with 7 girlfriends (8 total) for a girls get away and it was perfect. We could walk to the beach, shopped at the boutiques in town and had dinner at Rock Harbor Grill. The house is huge and everyone had a bed. Hanging out the deck was picture perfect. It truly is a spectacular location. It would also be great for 2 families given the set up"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here... In fact, this house/location has finally convinced this Maine coast woman that Cape Cod is a true delight. The beach: It is the last house on the private beach road, giving you direct and easy access to a pristine stretch of Nauset Beach, which you access by a stroll past the rolling dunes. The house: the indoor layout gives plenty of space to hang out as a family and unfettered access to the outdoors with a wraparound deck and sliding doors on all sides. Bedrooms are spacious, and nicely separated from the more public spaces in the house. As an added bonus, the house is a delight for vintage mid-century fans: it has gorgeous mid-century wall coverings, and the mid-century styling, details and quality of construction throughout give this home away from home a special flair. A fireplace gives a cozy place to gather on cooler summer nights, or just a spot to toast marshmallows! Outside: the yard is a sweet place for kids to play while you are getting dinner together! Sitting on the deck you can see the ocean, hear the waves and just soak up the sun. It is a truly special spot. Orleans (center of town is minutes away): 1) Farmstand (Nauset Farms) on the way to town gives you an opportunity to pick-up quality local food/products 2) Dining out (the most recent we have experienced is the Rock Harbor Grill - quality food at reasonable prices) 3) Coffee, decadent desserts and handcrafted chocolate at the Hot Chocolate Sparrow 4) Orleans Yoga (LOVELY studio with great instructors, bodywork and pilates as well!) 5) Kid-friendly bowling (Orleans Bowling Center) We would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a great Cape Cod getaway. The owner Heather is really easy to deal with and very responsive/helpful."
